Fall Protection Regulation Change for Residential Contractor

On December 22, 2010, OSHA issued a directive rescinding the Interim Fall Protection Compliance Guidelines for Residential Contractors (STD 03-00-001).

Previously, OSHA allowed contractors engaged in certain residential construction activities to use alternative means of fall protection. That policy has been completely rescinded. Effective June 16, 2011, all construction employers will be required to use conventional means of fall protection.

Attached is an informational sheet regarding the fall protection change for residential contractors. If you have any questions please contact Dan Gahlman or Nicole Tubeszewski at 262-439-4700.
